Every application for a building permit must include:
1. A Health Compliance (Authorization to Construct) from the Environmental Health Department. Applications and fees are taken at Central Permitting Office.
2. One set of plans which contain: A site plan, footing and foundation details, floor plan, elevations (relevant to applied fill). This information will be used to assist the builder in determining foundation wall height and reinforcement as may be required and truss roof details will be required at the framing inspection and must be on the job site with the house plans. Please bring in a good set of plans. We will scan them into our computer system for our records.
3. A Zoning Compliance will be issued at the same time you apply for a building permit for a cost of $25. Please provide a site plan showing building setbacks and determine if the building will be constructed in a floodplain.
