Commissioner Lance Barrett
Commissioner Lance Barrett was born on June 11, 1962 to Carl Franklin Barrett and Maxine Swicegood Barrett. He and wife Venus along with sons Kristoef age 11 and Bryce age 6 reside in Lexington. They are active members of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Tyro. He has served as Chairman of the Church Council there and his family roots go back many generations in the Tyro/Reeds area of western Davidson County.
Commissioner Barrett enjoys attending Davidson County High School sports events and has served in various volunteer capacities with different area sports teams through the years.
Commissioner Barrett graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice and Davidson County Community College with a A.A.S. degree in Criminal Justice. He graduated from Lexington High School. He has served on the Lexington City Schools Board of Education. He is a North Carolina licensed Real Estate Broker and currently works at Leonard Craver Realty in Lexington serving home buyers and sellers.
Prior to being elected County Commissioner, Mr. Barrett served four terms as Chairman of the Davidson County Republican Party.

Commissioner Barrett is serving his first term as Commissioner and his term will expire in 2018.
