 Senior Transportation

 General and Medical Transportation is offered to seniors 60 years of age and older and their spouse or caregiver.

Persons approved by Senior Services may be transported at no charge to:

Congregate Nutrition sites (Lexington, Thomasville, Denton, Southmont and Welcome)

Life Center of Davidson County, Adult Day Health

Medical and Dental Appointments (Non-Medicaid recipients only) - (Medical trips include, physicians, clinics, dialysis, vision, mental health and Chiropractic);

Some Senior Center Activities (Lexington and Thomasville)

Senior Center Sponsored Special Events (Fishing Tournament, Senior Day at the Fair, Senior Games and Lexington and Thomasville Christmas Parties).



Senior Services accepts donations for no cost transportation services. All other General Transportation is $1 per one way trip, payable to the driver.

Pre-registration for senior transportation is required by calling 336-242-2948. Currently there is a waiting list for Transportation services.

Transportation to out-of-county medical appointments is available to medicaid clients only through the Davidson County Transportation Department by calling 336-242-2250.
