Feeds, also known as RSS (Real Simple Syndication) feeds, XML feeds, syndicated content, or web feeds, contain frequently updated content published by a website. They are usually used for news and blog websites, but are also used for distributing other types of digital content, including pictures, audio files, or video.
Internet Explorer 7.0, Netscape 7.0, and FireFox are three examples of browsers capabale of
discovering and displaying feeds as you visit websites. You can also subscribe to feeds to automatically check for and download updates that you can view later. Internet Explorer 7.0 and Outlook 2007 are two examples of programs
that allow you to "subscribe" to RSS Feeds. There are also free RSS Feed Readers
available on the internet for download. |
