Shift Supervisor of the Year 2015 - Joni Grubb

Joni goes above and beyond to make all co-workers feel welcome and wanted on any shift that is worked. She remains calm with callers no matter what the situation is. When you have a question, it is explained to where there is no question on why something is done that way.

She follows the chain of command and has a working knowledge of the SOGs. Joni is married, has two children and 3 grand-children.

Telecommunicator of the Year 2015 - Shelley Simmons

Shelley has been with Davidson County 911 many years. She is good with callers and can keep them calm when needed. She has been a trainer for a couple of years. She explains the concepts to her trainee, but can be stern when needed to keep them on track.

She is always willing to sign up for extra shifts, helping out with other functions, such as Public Education. She has great knowledge of the county. She is funny to be around, confidant and helpful, whether it is helping customers, co-workers, or other agencies. Shelley has 2 fur babies that are her children.
