COVID-19 Update Safer at Home: Phase 2.5

Under Executive Order 163, North Carolina is under Safer At Home Phase 2.5 of lifting COVID-19 restrictions, effective 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4. Under this phase, people are also required, with some exceptions, to wear face coverings while out in public when physical distancing of 6 feet is not possible.

People who are in the high risk category are strongly encouraged to stay at home.

The order will remain in effect until October 2, 2020.

Senior Services continues to operate with new and modified programs and services. 

Senior Centers and Congregate Nutrition sites remain closed due to risks associated with COVID-19.

Using standard COVID-19 precautions:

     • Transportation, In-Home Aide, Resource and Benefits Counseling continue with few changes. 

     • Meals on Wheels and Congregate Nutrition are delivering meal packs of five frozen meals, each Monday.

Senior Center Programming Changes:

Virtual activities are being held weekly and monthly via Facebook and email.

 If you have access to a computer and are currently not receiving our emails, please give us a call at 336-242-2290 and we will add you to our distribution list. If you do not have access to a computer and would like to participate in programming, we can mail activities to you as well as place you on our telephone programming list.
