Youth

  • Age Cut-off for All Youth Sports: August 31st of playing year.

Basketball

  • Age Groups:
  • Instructional Boys and Girls (9 years old)
  • Little League Boys and Girls (10-11 years old)
  • Junior Boys (12-13 years old)
  • Senior Boys (14-16 years old)
  • Sign-Ups and Season: 
  • Sign-Ups: October (Contact Local Booster Club to see when they are holding sign-ups.
  • Season: December to February. Games are during week and weekend.
National High School Federation rules are used, with some local exceptions.

Volleyball

  • Age Groups:
  • Little League- 10-11 years old
  • Junior League- 12-13 years old
  • Senior League- 14-17 years old (New Division- Spring)

Adult Co-Ed Kickball

2021 ADULT Kickball LEAGUE
FACT SHEET
  • Program Description:  The Adult Kickball League is an organized, competitive program for ages 18 and over (age prior to participation). The league is open to Coed teams and includes 10 regular season games and a single elimination post-season tournament. Double headers will be played on Wednesday nights at Hughes Park.
  • Additional Information Additional information can be found online include league rules, important dates, and links online. Team registration will begin April 6 at Parks and Recreation Main office at West Center St Campus.
  • Entry Fee and Registration Forms • Free for the first 8 Teams that sign-up • In addition to the team fee, a participation fee of $10 (Davidson County Resident); $25 (Non-Resident) is required for each member on the team roster which includes players, coaches, and managers. • These fees must be paid at Parks and Recreation Main Office at West Center St Campus.
  • Uniforms • All uniforms must be completed by the first regular season game. Uniforms consist of every player on each team wearing a shirt of the same color with a screen printed number on the back that is not a duplicate of another team member.
  • Important Dates • The deadline to turn in team rosters is Thursday, May 6 
  • • MANDATORY Managers Meeting will be Monday, May 10, 2021 at 7:30pm at Parks and Recreation Main Office at West Center St in the Board Room. Failure to attend this meeting will result in removal from the league. Regular season schedules will be given out at the meeting.
  • • League play will begin Wednesday, May 19, 2021. NOTE: The athletic staff reserves the right to use different days if needed due to facility availability.

Adult Flag Football

The league includes 10 regular season games and a single elimination post-season tournament. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons at Optimist Park

Adult Pickleball

  • Local: West Center Street Gymnasium 555-D West Center Street Extension, Lexington, NC 27295
  • Equipment: Parks and Recreation will supply nets and pickle balls. Please wear tennis shoes to play.
  • Pickleball is back, with restrictions starting back Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

  • Blocks are limited to the first 25 people
  • Temperatures will be taken upon arrival and masks are required
  • Players will be asked for contact information in the event of an outbreak

Disc Golf

Come out and play one of America's Fastest Growing Sports. Enjoy with family, friends, or by yourself! 
  • Welborn Woods Course @ Hughes Park: 18 holes. The Course provides both a open and wooden scenery. Holes are a mixture of short, middle, and long distance. This is a great course for both beginners and experience players. 
  • The Cave Course @ Boone's Cave Park: 18 holes. The Course provides a wooden scenery, with mixture of short and middle distance. This course is great for both beginners to experience players.
