Major Casey Tarleton

Major Tarleton oversees the daily operations of the Field Operations Bureau of the Davidson County Sheriff's Office. The Field Operations Bureau consists of the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and the Special Investigations Division.

Major Tarleton has been employed with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office since 1994. Major Tarleton started his career in the Davidson County Jail, he then transferred to the Patrol Division where he served as a line deputy for 8 years. After working in the patrol division Major Tarleton was transferred to the detective division where attained the rank of Sergeant. Major Tarleton transferred to the Personnel and Training Division where he was promoted to Lieutenant. Major Tarleton was then promoted to Captain over the Patrol Division where he oversaw the daily operations of the Patrol Squads, Warrant Squad, TAC Unit, Motorcycle Unit and Lake Patrol. Major Tarleton served as our Patrol Captain for 9 years. Major Tarleton was promoted to Major over the Field Operations Bureau in 2016.

 Major Tarleton has also been a member of the Davidson County Sheriff's Office Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) for 17 years. He currently serves as our SERT Commander.
