Major Steve Hedrick is the administrator of the Davidson County Jail and the Davidson County Sheriff's Office Civil Division. Major Hedrick has been employed with the Sheriff's Office since 1983, and has held the rank of patrol lieutenant, canine officer, and Captain of the Civil Division prior to his present assignment. Under Major Hedrick's command, the Davidson County Jail has undergone facility upgrades, evaluation of program efficiency, and procedural change. The Davidson County Jail averages an inmate population of 280 persons per day. Under Major Hedrick's direction, the Civil Division maintains up to date information on pertinent statutory and administrative law amendments, and facilitates the service of civil processes assigned by statute.
