Every middle school and high school in Davidson County has a specially trained deputy sheriff assigned to the campus as a liaison for security, information, and communication between the school and the Sheriff's Office. Lieutenant Brian Grubb provides supervision for this unit.
Lt. Grubb started his career in law enforcement in 1996 with the Lexington Police Department. Lt. Grubb worked as a patrol officer and a school resource officer with LPD. In 2004 Lt. Grubb joined the Sheriff's Office as a school resource officer. Lt.Grubb has been assigned to West, North and Central Davidson High Schools. Promoted to Lieutenant in 2011, Lt. Grubb is currently assigned to Tyro Middle School. Lt. Grubb was awarded an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice in 1993 and an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate in 2007.
