Major Robert Miller started his career at the Sheriff's Office in 1993 in the jail. Major Miller has also served in the patrol division and criminal investigations division. In 2004 he was promoted to sergeant and later to lieutenant in the Professional Standards Unit. Major Miller served on the US Marshal's Fugitive Task Force for several years. In addition to Major Miller's other duties, he serves as our agency's state training coordinator, general instructor and firearms instructor.
Major Miller has also been a member of the Davidson County Sheriff's Office Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) for 22 years. He currently serves as our SERT Commander.
