About the Park

Hughes Park is athletic facility owned and operated by Davidson County Parks and Recreation Department. The park host department disc golf course and tournament and adult co-ed kickball games. The Park also can be rent for weekend baseball and softball tournaments.

Current Park Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Disc Golf

The park has eighteen hole disc golf course.

Disc Golf discs are now available from the concession stand when open during week and weekends. Disc must be returned to concession stand after completion of round. If disc is lost or damaged a $10 reimbursement fee must be paid to Concession Stand when returning disc after the round. Renters must leave personal information (driver's license, etc.) with Concession Stand staff and will be returned when disc are returned.

Welborn Woods Disc Golf Course at Hughes Park closes at 8:00 pm.


Weekend Tournament
Hughes Park can be rented for weekend travel ball tournament from March through November. The park has three fields, 2 fields are 200 foot fences, and 1 three foot fence. Large field bases can be set at 60, 65, 70, 80, and 90 foot bases, and two small fields bases can be set at 60, 65, and 70 foot bases. Weekend Tournament Rental packets are emailed out in October, if interested in holding tournament at Hughes Park please call 336-242-2285.


Walking/Biking Trail
The park has 1.25 mile natural walking/biking trail. Trail is open to the public.
