Health Education

Mission: To provide community awareness about health problems in order to lead to improvement of individual, family and community health through attitude and behavior change.

The goal of health education is develop, maintain, or reinforce positive health behaviors; help change attitudes; and increase knowledge and awareness of health issues, in order to encourage a healthy lifestyle. An effort will be made to focus on evidence-based interventions that address policy, systems and environmental change.

Child Passenger Safety

The purpose of this program is to reduce the risk of childhood injury by providing child passenger safety education and instruction on the proper installation of car seats. This program also provides seat checks and instruction on installations. All education and instruction is provided by a nationally certified child passenger safety technician. The services are provided to county residents by appointment only.

Triple P - Positive Parenting Program

Triple P is a parenting program, but it doesn't tell you how to be a parent.  It's more like a toolbox of ideas. Triple P can help you:

  • Encourage behavior you like
  • Deal with problem behavior
  • Become confident as a parent
  • Be realistic about parenting
  • Take care of yourself
