Our volunteers are vital to our operation. It is with your help, that we are able to rescue and adopt homeless and unwanted animals. Through teamwork, hard work, and dedication, we know that we can work together to make DCAS the best. We hope you will join our team.

Volunteers Needed

Committed and reliable volunteers are desperately needed to help the animal shelter meet its mission statement. If you would like to help in any of these areas please call 336-357-0805 or come by and ask for the volunteer coordinator. If you know of any friends, family, businesses, school clubs, or Boy and Girl Scouts that would like to help the Davidson County Animal Shelter with the following needs, please let them know. Volunteers can conduct the following activities:

  • Walking dogs
  • Cat cuddling
  • Socializing 
  • Bathing
  • Dog Training
  • Events like Fundraisers or Adoption Fairs

Getting Started

Stop by the front desk to pick up an application or download it below and turn it in to get started. Volunteer Hours are Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
