Mapping & Land Records
Mapping / Land Records is responsible for listing, mapping, and transferring ownership in Davidson County. Davidson County real property is permanently listed. It is not necessary for you to file a listing with the County Assessor to change ownership. The deed that is recorded with the Register of Deeds provides that information to the land records department. Once that information is retrieved, the mapping / land records department processes the information. After the brief processing period, the information goes into the GIS (Geographic Information System) database to be viewed on our website. You can access this information via website or visit our office.
Tax Maps
The tax maps display parcel boundaries and tax identification numbers. They provide a visual representation from the primary sources of deeds, plats, and surveys for the purpose of creating a representation of real property. Information developed from the property mapping may be used by numerous identities such as:
- Attorneys
- Fee Appraisers
- Realtors
- Surveyors
- Taxpayers
An important note, "The property maps are for tax information purposes only, and should not be construed as an actual survey".
