About Us

Davidson County operates and maintains   approximately 35 miles of public sewer mains and five wastewater pumping stations in the northwest quadrant of the county.  The wastewater received by the County’s collection system discharges to the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Utilities’ Lower Muddy Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Forsyth County.

Currently, seventy-five percent of the wastewater discharged to the County collection system originates from residences.  Approximately 20% of the wastewater volume is received from public schools and the remaining five percent is commercial use.

What is F.O.G.?

Fats, oils, and grease from food preparation, packaged foods and food scraps.  FOG is discharged not only by residents but also by businesses.

2019 Sewer Rates
